A Special Day at Ausable Chasm…

and a new photo album was posted too.

Ausable Chasm is a spectacular sandstone gorge in the Adirondack. It’s said that it is a geological wonder sculpted by the powerful current of the Ausable River over thousands of years.

(David in green.) Standing with me is the craftsman who made these beautiful northern red oak flag poles. Amy and I watched the installation as the creator instructed the crew how to carefully raise them up.

While there we met the General Manager of Ausable Chasm, Tim Bresett. During our chat I learned he was a military brat and his father retired from the Air Force. It was then I informed him I was retired Army. He asked me if I would like to be the first to raise the flag up the new pole.

It was an honor and privilege that Amy and I shall never forget.

Thank you Tim.
